Wizz Air, the largest low cost - low fare airline based in Central and Eastern Europe announced that it would start new flights from Poznan to Rome Fiumicino Airport and to Cork from 16 December and 19 December respectively. The new flights will be operated twice weekly and will complement the airline’s already existing routes from Poznan to Stockholm Vasteras, Glasgow Prestwick, Doncaster Sheffield, Dortmund, London Luton and Milan Bergamo.
The company has made a series of adjustments to its schedule recently to better serve the changing customer demand. The labour traffic between Poland and the UK has shown a significant down turn while the demand for other routes - mainly to leisure destination - increased. As a result Wizz Air announced 21 new routes in the past twelve months, 15 of which have been already launched. The following new routes will be launched this winter:
Tickets for the flights are already on sale on the airline’s website from as low as 24.99 EUR one-way, all inclusive. Bookings can be made online, on wizzair.com or by calling the Wizz Air call centre. (
